Inaugural Tournament Success

Before the half-term break, our Year 11 boys took part in the inaugural Pro Direct Academy Hertfordshire football tournament, competing against schools from across the county in an energetic 9-a-side format. Remaining undefeated throughout the league phase, the team finished at the top of the table to secure their place in the final. Despite controlling the tempo throughout a competitive match, the decisive goal proved elusive, leading to a penalty shootout. Thanks to composed finishes and a crucial save, the boys lifted the trophy. It was a thoroughly deserved victory, and we congratulate the entire squad on their fantastic performance.

Our Year 8 boys also produced a memorable display before the break, securing a thrilling 6-3 win against Onslow St Audrey's School. Showing tremendous resilience, the squad fought back from behind to turn the game around and take a well-earned victory. This performance provides a wonderful boost in confidence as they prepare for an upcoming County Cup fixture alongside three District matches before Christmas.
