Chilli's First Paddle

Some of our eager dog-loving students volunteered this week to give school pup, Chilli, his first experience with a paddling pool in the Academy's quad. Chilli is the youngest of Hertswood's school dogs, working alongside Ada to welcome students and staff each day, support school events, and accompany students on regular walks around the school grounds.

Chilli was cautious of the pool at first, but with a little encouragement and his favourite ball, he pushed past his fears and enjoyed his paddle. He was quickly rewarded with treats for his bravery.

As always, the students took great care of Chilli and had a fantastic time helping her cool off from this week's heat. Before heading back inside for a well-deserved nap, Chilli took a few minutes for one of his absolute favourite activities -- closely watching the school guinea pigs!
