International Delegation

Our staff and students were absolutely delighted to welcome a delegation of Bedouin Headteachers from the DARCA educational network earlier this month. Accompanied by representatives from Herts County Council, the visitors spent an inspiring day learning about our educational processes, touring the Academy, and speaking with our fantastic students.

The feedback from the delegation was incredibly heartwarming. They were highly impressed by our school's resources, structures, and systems, even describing our wonderful teachers as 'champions.' They also praised our students for their excellent behaviour and the deep respect they show toward their education. As a lovely gesture of thanks, the group presented the school with a peace bird ornament, and generously gave small gifts to each student they spoke with.

We received a touching follow-up message from the visit leader, who described Hertswood as a place where people are truly known, valued, and believed in. They shared that the ideas gathered here will travel back to impact schools and children far beyond Hertfordshire. We are so proud of our community for making such a lasting international impression.
