Careers in Arboriculture

We were delighted to welcome the expert team from Gristwood & Toms back to the Academy for an insightful careers talk with our Year 11 students. As a leading arboricultural company, they provided a fascinating look into the world of professional tree surgery, surveying, and planting.

The session highlighted the diverse range of apprenticeships and career paths available within the industry. Students learnt about the critical safety elements of working at height, with the team demonstrating the specialised equipment and harnesses used in the field. One of our students even had the opportunity to model a safety harness to see the importance of workplace safety first-hand.

It was a highly informative and engaging session that opened our students' eyes to some unique and rewarding career opportunities. We would like to thank Gristwood & Toms for sharing their time and expertise with us once again.
