Ms Inwood's British Empire Medal!

We are incredibly proud to share that Hertswood’s Exams Officer, Ms Donna-Marie Inwood, has been honoured with a British Empire Medal (BEM) in the 2026 New Year’s Honours List. This prestigious award recognises her hands-on service and sustained commitment to the local community over many years.

The honour celebrates Ms Inwood’s remarkable leadership as Chair of Leecliffe Big Local for the past fourteen years. During her tenure, she has worked tirelessly to empower local residents, improve community spaces, and ensure that the voices of the community were heard. Her dedication has helped build a lasting legacy of collaboration and confidence that will continue long after the programme concludes this March.
