Keynote Alumni

A number of accomplished alumni were welcomed to Hertswood to support our Year 12 Futures Days, including our keynote speaker, Sophie Pender, former Head Girl and founder of the 93% Club. The organisation continues to go from strength to strength with Sophie now full time CEO.

She sat down with Miss McFerran to talk to the students about her background, her time at Hertswood, and she highlighted the importance of working hard and achieving good grades as well as growing their network and making use of it.

Among the other guest alumni we were delighted to see was Ben Tiplady, Head Boy at the same time Sophie was Head Girl. Ben generously gave his time and expertise as Head of Grants and Investments at Shaw Trust, to conduct mock interviews with our students, with he and Sophie also taking the opportunity to meet their current successors, Tanzima and Allan.
