GCSE Music with the Alina Orchestra

On Tuesday 22nd March, 13 of Hertswood's GCSE Music students joined over two hundred students from across Hertfordshire, for a narrated concert of GCSE Music Set Works by the Alina Orchestra at the Stevenage Music Centre.

The focus was on the development of the concerto in the Baroque era. As well as humorous and informative explanations of how music developed during this time, the students were given five performances demonstrating how these developments changed the sound of the concerto.

The students made notes as the event progressed and were entranced by the experience of live orchestral music with excellent solo performers.
