Thursday 3rd March was our Citizenship Action Day, with students working on the topics of lowering the voting age to 16, increasing the curriculum, raising money for charity, and tackling racism in sport. The students had to conduct their own primary research and understand the views of their peers, then present their ideas and understanding to a member of our Senior Leadership Team.

Each group's aim was to convince the member of our SLT to support their viewpoint, and will now pass their ideas on to the council and our local MP. Students conducted themselves outstandingly, taking their research seriously, and presenting with clarity and professionalism.

One team, pictured here, chose to raise awareness of the plan to build on the green belt land in Potters Lane. They did a superb job and were asked to present their campaign to Headteacher, Peter Gillett.
