The Biology Olympiad

Our congratulations to the twenty-five Sixth Form Biologists who took part in this year's British Biology Olympiad competition. In the Olympiad, students are specifically presented with topics and ideas with which they are not familiar, so they have to compete with their problem solving skills and understanding of core principles.

Headteacher, Mr Gillett, and Head of Biology, Miss Sammi, congratulated the students and provided them with their well-deserved certificates. Many of the students received commendations or awards for their success in the two challenges, each taken under exam conditions.
