High Energy Physics

Recently some of our Year 12 Physicists had the opportunity to attend a High Energy Physics Masterclass at Imperial College London.

World class researchers gave lectures discussing high energy particles such as neutrinos, and how they are important to us in the search to learn more about the universe in which we live.

The day culminated in a computer simulation session where students were able to replicate the experiments happening at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN, and even rediscover the Higgs Boson themselves! It was an outstanding and memorable experience for these young scientists.
