Herts Young Homeless

Last week Hertswood was once again fortunate to receive a visit from the charity, Herts Young Homeless. The discussion included a variety of issues around homelessness, learning about what the charity does, and what 'home' means to the students.

The visit, which was well received by the Year 8 students, compliments their Literacy classes in which they are reading 'Stone Cold' by Robert Swindells. The award-winning book is a tense thriller, involving a harrowing portrayal of life on the streets.
