This Tuesday, Year 7 students took part in Hertswood's inaugural Outdoor Learning Day, as the Academy works towards an accreditation for outdoor learning impact. Before heading out, the students gathered in our Theatre for a presentation focused on climate change and sustainability, provided by Bouygues, our facilities management providers.

The year group then split into their Houses and made their way outside for a series of activities through the day, working to develop skills. These included making dampers (bread on sticks) and s'mores, orienteering, tent pitching, and outdoor artwork based on their House birds.

The day was a real success, with a lot of great memories made and relationships developed. We thank all our students and staff for getting involved, and demonstrating our Hertswood values.
