Theatre Upgrades!

We are proud to announce that over the summer, the Hertswood Academy Theatre will see a sizeable upgrade, to better accommodate the needs of our students, teachers and the local community.

New technology making its way into the Theatre include an on-stage hub console for convenient access to the Theatre systems for all users. This will control brand new LED lights, laser projection, and a full set of main, delay and bass speakers. Control room facilities will also be expanded to support large-scale productions, with fully featured lighting and sound control desks.

The stage itself will also see massive additions, with a set of masking and backing curtains put in place, as well as a brand new set of front-of-house curtains.

A lot of work has gone into making arrangements to expand our fantastic Theatre facilities, and we look forward to all members of the Hertswood community enjoying the benefits in the 2023-24 academic year and beyond!
