Making Bolani

Last week, a group of students gave up some of their time to demonstrate their cooking talent and share some of their culture, by creating a traditional Afghan dish called Bolani. Miss Witter, Head of Food Technology, was very impressed with the students' enthusiasm and cooking expertise.

Bolani is a fried flatbread, filled with potato and herbs, and served with a yoghurt dip and tabbouleh. Students and staff who were lucky enough to try some of the finished dish were happy to confirm that it tasted wonderful.
