Chemistry Olympiad 2023

The UK Chemistry Olympiad is a leading Chemistry competition for secondary students run annually by the Royal Society of Chemistry. Designed to challenge an inspire, it is an opportunity for students to push themselves further and excel in the field. Budding chemists develop critical problem-solving skills, learn to think more creatively, and get a chance to test their knowledge in new, real-world situations.

This year four chemists from Hertswood Academy took up the challenge to participate in this tough competition. We were very impressed with the students' effort, taking their own initiative and time out of their busy schedules to prepare and compete. Two of the students managed to earn themselves Bronze Awards from the competition.

We congratulate the students who took part and look forward to seeing another group of young chemists compete next year!
