Herts Music Gala

On Sunday 30th April, the 'Hertswood Voices' performers joined several thousand other students from around the county to be part of the Hertfordshire Schools' Gala 2023 at the Royal Albert Hall in London. The group have been rehearsing twice a week since January to learn five pieces, ranging from arrangements of Daft Punk through to Parry's anthem 'I was Glad'.

Hertswood Voices rose to the challenge of this exciting and ambitious project, giving them a unique experience of performing in such a venue and stretching their musical skills and repertoire well outside their comfort zone!

The students were a credit to the school, giving everything to contribute to this extravaganza, with many of them wanting to be involved again next time!
